Vince Loqo, founder of the Ithemba Support Foundation and a proud resident of Manzana Location in Ngcobo, continues to make a meaningful impact in his community by providing essential support to families in need. Recently, Loqo extended a helping hand to three households in the village of Mbhekeni, supplying them with much needed food parcels.

The families, who are facing difficult living conditions, expressed deep gratitude, saying the support brought relief during a very challenging time.

Loqo, a passionate runner who has taken part in numerous marathons, says his motivation comes not only from the sport but from the opportunity it gives him to uplift others. “As a runner, I want to change many homes by providing support,” he said. “Participating in marathons motivates me because I know I have to give back afterward. I am very happy to get this opportunity to help people who are struggling. I know that homes differ in terms of food availability some need temporary houses, and through my efforts, I hope to request support to help create a happy home.”

His initiative has drawn support from local businesspeople and shop owners, who have donated food and other essentials to aid his efforts. Community members and stakeholders have praised Loqo for his commitment, saying such actions deserve to continue and grow. In addition to food parcels, Loqo has also donated sanitary towels to female students at Lucwecwe and Phakamani schools, demonstrating his commitment to both education and dignity.

The three families who benefited from the food donations have also appealed for further assistance, particularly the need for temporary housing as they continue to face hardship. Looking ahead, Loqo says he is eager to continue helping local schools and communities, and he expressed heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported the Ithemba Support Foundation. “Thank you to everyone who supports the foundation. Together, we can bring hope to more homes,” he said.
