A new organization is expected to be established in Emalahleni to address the challenges faced by local security guards. It has been reported that many security guards experience difficulties, particularly with companies that come to Emalahleni already employing workers from outside the area instead of hiring local security personnel.

Concerns have also been raised that security guards are being taken advantage of, even as new security companies continue to operate in the area.

Emalahleni resident Nceba Roro confirmed that he will be involved in the establishment of the organization. However, he emphasized that security guards themselves will be at the forefront of the structure, so that they can represent and defend their own interests regarding issues affecting them.

Roro said that there is interference in security matters and that authorities in Cacadu are often too lenient towards individuals and companies that do not respect security guards. He added that the organization plans to draw lessons from other towns where companies are not allowed to bring in workers from outside while local residents remain unemployed.

According to Roro, the organization will be officially launched, after which action will be taken against companies that refuse to listen to the concerns of local residents. He warned that such companies will face consequences.
