Tsotetsi family in Mlungisi, R Section in Komani, under the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality, is distressed following the disappearance of their father, Thembekile Welcome Tsotetsi Mgijima (68). Tsotetsi reportedly went missing on 22 July l2025. According to family members, he was last seen taking a nap and has not been seen ever since.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mantombi Tsotetsi said their father suffers from memory loss, which has raised serious concerns about his safety.
She explained that after realizing he was missing, the family opened a missing person case with the police. “Our biggest concern is that our father depends on daily medication, which makes us worry about his health and wellbeing,” Mantombi said.
When he was last seen, Tsotetsi was wearing a navy jacket, green trousers and brown shoes.
The Tsotetsi family says they are deeply saddened by the situation and are appealing to anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of Thembekile Welcome Tsotetsi Mgijima to contact the police. They have also urged members of the community to assist in searching for him so that he can be safely reunited with his family.
