The campaign aimed to pray for and promote the improvement of social cohesion, particularly in the fight against crime, ruthless killings, violence, and factional conflicts. Mbhekeni Village has recently experienced tragic incidents, including the brutal throat cutting of a young boy within the past two months, which has deeply affected the community.

Local Councillor Khethani urged community members to refrain from activities that may lead to social unrest and instability. He emphasised the importance of unity, responsible behavior, and collective efforts to rebuild trust and safety within the village.

Gender based violence and unplanned killings were highlighted as major concerns that prompted the intervention by the Moral Regeneration Movement in Mbhekeni. The campaign further emphasized the restoration of dignity, moral values, and mutual respect between the elderly and the youth as fundamental pillars for community healing and stability.

The municipality and its partners reaffirmed their commitment to working together with the community to foster peace, respect, and sustainable social development.
