Schools from the Eastern Cape Province brought together the students who won in the book reading competition, including visually impaired adults.
Library manager, Viva Dastile, expressed her gratitude for being among the winners of the competition. She noted how proud they are of their learners who triumphed at the Chris Hani level. This achievement serves as a motivation for individuals with visual impairments to seize similar opportunities, highlighting their significance.
Meanwhile, Imange Sisulu, a student at Khanyolwethu School, recently triumphed at the Chris Hani competition. She expresses her excitement about reading books and engaging in further contests. Imange shares that her happiness stems from her hard work, especially when she wins.
She also says she sees herself continuing to do so because she is confident, encouraging other children to participate in competitions held at the school.
