Freemantle Boys’ High School held a successful farewell ceremony for its Grade 12 learners, celebrating their achievements and wishing them success in their final exams.
The event was attended by teachers, parents, school board members, and former pupils known as the Free Mantle Old Boys. Learners expressed their joy through singing and dancing as the school presented certificates and gifts to the Top 5 achievers and the Top Achiever of the year.

Guest speaker Malibongwe Mketsi, a former learner from Tsomo in Intsika Yethu Local Municipality, commended the students for their good behaviour and encouraged them to stay focused during exams. “Be calm, work hard, and don’t leave gaps in your answers,” he said.
School board chairperson Ntobeko Lubala and principal Mr. Vuyisile Cele both praised the success of the event and wished the learners well for the future.
Student president Liyema Susani thanked teachers for their support and urged classmates to face new challenges with courage while remembering where they come from.
